Indian cinemas They Have A Soul?

An event dedicated to the art of Indian arts (music and dance), but also, and especially, in Indian cinema, with many new films that we come from India.

These nine years dedicated to the exploration of the largest film production in the world (800 to 1,000 films per year), in its richness and complexity, we have learned much about the sub-continent, but also on the public ignorance Western can have this enormous universe that is the diversity of Indian cinemas.

During the first editions, my surprise was noted that many moviegoers, who also followed assiduously our other programming devoted to Asian cinema (Japan, China, Mongolia, Korea, Thailand, etc.), rejected, not without scorn, the idea to attend a festival of Indian cinema.
A final observation: in the minds of many of them, the confusion between Indian cinema and Hindi Films India genre continued stay in spite of all that has been written on the subject.

Bollywood is not Indian cinema, it is not even the Bombay cinema, it is a form of popular film in Hindi cinema tour obeying simple laws that some have tried to summarize as follows: five songs, five choreographies, a fight and a standardized scenario, a story often written after the fact, and whether admitted or not, often barely disguised remake of an earlier movie...

The term Bollywood was created from scratch in the 1990s and conveyed - ignorance or convenience? - By the Western media, is not even a geo-economic reality, as Bombay, in contrast to Hollywood in the United States is not the center of the Indian film industry.
